Media Advisory - Transportation Safety Board of Canada to Release Final Report of Swissair Flight 111 OTTAWA, March 10 /CNW/ - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will release the final report of the Swissair Flight 111 investigation at a news conference on Thursday, March 27, 2003 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The crash of Swissair Flight 111 took place on September 2, 1998. All 229 passengers and crew members perished. The final report provides a detailed account of the investigation, including the causes and contributing factors of the occurrence. News Conference: ---------------- Camille Th�riault, Chairman of the Transportation Safety Board of Canada, will host the news conference. Media accreditation will be required to gain access to the news conference. Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Atlantic Standard Time (AST) Location: Port Royal Ballroom E, Halifax World Trade and Convention Centre 1800 Argyle Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia (Enter through main entrance at Argyle and George Streets. TSB representatives will direct media to the registration area.) Materials: The final report and supporting materials will be available in English and French, and will be published on the TSB website (http://www.tsb.gc.ca) following the news conference.
