Though Mark and I never took this information seriously, I thought it would be interesting to post this from the past. This was from one of our posters who lived in Switzerland. I do want to mention that we followed up on the occurance that happened in Halifax with a poster on the sr111 board who was with the police in the Halifax area, and he reported that there was nothing to that break-in. It happened in a high crime area of Halifax where break-ins were pretty common. I believe the following is just a series of odd coincidences. DID YOU KNOW . . . * Sept. 6, 1998--Daniel Dayer, Swiss Ambassador to Canada, "tripped" and fell in front of a train in the station in Sion (Canton Valais), Switzerland. He died instantly. * Oct. 11/12, 1998--Break-ins at offices of Philippe Bruggisser (CEO SAirGroup) and Jeffrey Katz (CEO Swissair) in Zrich, as well as Guido Hirni (more on him next) in Valais. According to Neue Zurcher Zeitung (newspaper), the police were investigating whether these were attempts to steal reports on SR111. * Oct. 12/13, 1998--Guido Hirni of the Air Accident Investigation Board (BFU), top heliocopter pilot of the Swiss Alpine Rescue squad (REGA), flew his helicopter into the side of a mountain (Blinnenhorn) in Canton Valais. According to the Berner Oberland News, Hirni was alone in the heliocopter, which disappeared Oct. 12. The demolished remains of craft and pilot were found the next day. The purpose of the flight and the cause of the crash are both unknown. * Dec. 2, 1998--Break-in at the SR111 information center in Halifax (Spring Garden Road?). Computers were stolen. Could these incidents be connected? And could they be connected to SR111? I'm not trying to be a rabble-rouser, but does any of this seem suspicious to anyone else? I need some others' opinions. Please?. | |||
