Swissair 111
Hi all,

Last night there was a reconstruction on the National Geographic Channel of the disaster with the Swissair 111 (MD-11) in September '98.

The (canceled) take-off was shown, with the captain and first officer jointly pushing the throttle forward. It was noted that this was to share responsibility if something went wrong during the take-off role. This raised the necessary questions for me ...

How about that? Or would it have been purely a Swissair procedure?

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
