I just learned that there will be a two hour special documentary television show on the SR 111 TSB investigation this evening at 8 PM Eastern time. The CBC crew followed the TSB investigation team throughout the 4 1/2 year investigation. This might be worth watching for those who get CBC. See: http://www.cbc.ca/natureofthings/swissair.html . I'm watching the CBC documentary (it is in the final half hour now) - it mirrors the TSB report quite closely, which is not surprising, given that the production crew worked with the TSB for the full four and one-half years. It does give an excellent sense of how the investigation progressed, and how much of their lives the TSB investigators invested in it. Vic Gerden worked away from home for four and half years. The documentary runs a full two hours without a commercial break, which is practically unheard of, even for the CBC. The first 90 minutes was the documentary part - the final 30 minutes consists of a panel of experts discussing the accident. Mark Fetherolf was one of the panel members - it was good to be able to put a face to this web site. This documentary is certainly worth watching. Kevin Horton | ||||
