Plane Carrying Two Crashes Off Cape Cod By MATT PITTA, Associated Press Writer YARMOUTH, Mass. - A commuter plane with just two pilots aboard crashed Tuesday off Cape Cod after the crew reported an emergency and tried to return to the airport, authorities said. The pilots were presumed dead. "We are attempting to recover whatever bodies we can," said Mark Foley, a spokesman for the Yarmouth Fire Department. "The rescue ceased when it became apparent there were no survivors." The Federal Aviation Administration (news - web sites) said the Colgan Air crew declared an emergency shortly after takeoff and was returning to land when the crash occurred about 3 miles off the coast.
